How to Hide Your Mobile Phone Number When Making Calls



 To prevent your mobile phone number from appearing when making calls, you can use different methods depending on your device:Ask from Faysal Buzdar

For iPhone:

  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Scroll down and tap on "Phone."
  3. Tap on "Show My Caller ID."
  4. Toggle off the switch next to "Show My Caller ID." If the switch is grayed out and to the left, your Caller ID will not be shown on outgoing calls.

For Android Phones:

  1. Open the Phone app.
  2. Tap on the menu icon (usually three dots or lines) in the upper-right corner.
  3. Select "Settings."
  4. Scroll down and find "Additional Settings," "More Settings," or "Supplementary Services," depending on your device.
  5. Tap on "Show Caller ID" or a similar option.
  6. Choose "Hide Number" or "Hide Caller ID."

To use a block code:

  1. Before dialing the recipient's number, enter one of these codes:

    • *67 (for most North American mobile phones and Canada landlines)
    • #31# (for AT&T North American phones, Canada mobile phones, and most European & South American phones)
    • 141 (for UK phones)
    • 1167 (for most North American rotary phones)
  2. Dial the code, followed by the recipient's number (including country code if needed).

  3. Press the "Call" button to place your call with your Caller ID hidden.

For permanent privacy settings with your carrier:

  1. Dial 611 and call your mobile service provider's customer service.
  2. Follow the prompts to speak with a representative.
  3. Request to make your number permanently private. This option is usually offered by all major carriers.

Using Google Voice:

  1. Download and open the Google Voice app from the App Store or Google Play Store.
  2. Follow the setup instructions to select a Google Voice number.
  3. To hide your Google Voice number when making calls, open the app, tap on "Settings," and enable "Anonymous Caller ID."

By following these steps, you can ensure that your phone number remains private when making calls from your mobile device.
